I loved the Corazon Artesano, a tasty dish with salmon, mole and rice. The Camaron Volcan, with is breaded shrimp, was also amazing.

Angelo’s at Pueblo Bonito Mazatlán

It was a pleasure to play the piano at Angelo’s after 25 years. I had worked there for a number of years before deciding to move to Morelia to pursue formal studies at the Conservatorio de Las Rosas. However, my time in Morelia was short-lived, lasting only a year, as I was offered a full scholarship at the University of Oregon. This opportunity arose thanks to a video of me playing the piano at Angelo's and at Doney.

“Ferrusquilla”

Rosa, RIP

My new friend. My new friend came to my car and wanted to play with me. There is a collar and it has a phone number that unfortunately has been disconnected.

A thunderstorm…but Mariachi Extravaganza was a huge success!

What an eventful eight hours it was leading up to the performance! A thunderstorm wreaked havoc in Tucson, forcing us to quickly change our plans for the long-anticipated open-air show. Thankfully, we were able to relocate to the Ballroom on the 2nd floor of the Bishop Kicanas Pastoral Center.

Ave María - New York City

Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending a beautiful liturgy with beautful music at the famous Church of the Blessed Sacrament in the lively Upper West Side neighborhood of New York City. The event was organized by Pueri Cantores USA, a group that provides a platform for young singers to showcase their talent. They performed my version of Ave María, for treble voices, and it was truly angelic.
