A few days ago, on a special evening that was filled with holiday spirit and joy, I had the honor of conducting the Tucson Symphony Orchestra at the annual Christmas at the Cathedral event, held at St. Augustine Cathedral in Tucson.

The community of St. Odilia Catholic Parish had a truly unforgettable reopening celebration this past Friday, December 15th. It was an incredibly joyous occasion that brought an overwhelming sense of warmth and unity. I was deeply honored and filled with excitement to be invited to present a concert for the occasion.

Their performance encompassed a well-curated repertoire, encompassing a diverse range of musical styles and genres. From the soul-stirring elegance of the Piazzolla and Falla selections to the lively and spirited energy of Bartok's Romanian Folk Dances, every note filled the air with an exhilarating and joyous symphony of sound.

What an eventful eight hours it was leading up to the performance! A thunderstorm wreaked havoc in Tucson, forcing us to quickly change our plans for the long-anticipated open-air show. Thankfully, we were able to relocate to the Ballroom on the 2nd floor of the Bishop Kicanas Pastoral Center.

Today, I took my mother to Amelia's Mexican Kitchen in Tucson for a "tryout" meal. We were excited to try their amazing Mexican food. My mom enjoyed two well-seasoned carne asada tacos with cilantro and onions on soft corn tortillas, which reminded her of Mexico.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending a beautiful liturgy with beautful music at the famous Church of the Blessed Sacrament in the lively Upper West Side neighborhood of New York City. The event was organized by Pueri Cantores USA, a group that provides a platform for young singers to showcase their talent. They performed my version of Ave María, for treble voices, and it was truly angelic.

Last week, I was extremely happy to have the amazing opportunity to play the beautiful piano at the Steinway and Sons store in Manila. The pianos were truly incredible and left a lasting impression on me.
