Trobár in Tucson

On March 19, the Cathedral Concerts delighted attendees with Trobár, a medieval music ensemble hailing from Ohio. Performing under the title Love's Dominion, Trobár showcased their exceptional skills through a repertoire that included pieces from the Cantigas de Santa Maria and Codex Calixtinus.

Comprising Allison Monroe (voice, vielle, rebec, psaltery), Tracy Cowart (voice, harp), Sian Ricketts (voice, winds), and Allen Otte (percussion), the group's performance resonated beautifully within the intimate space of Our Lady's Chapel, a true hidden treasure in downtown Tucson.

As the evening came to a close, many in the audience found themselves yearning for more, a testament to the ensemble's captivating artistry. Once again, the success of this musical series was made possible by the kind support of the Catholic Foundation and Rio Nuevo.
